For as in one body we have many members, and the members do not all have the same function, so we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another. Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, in proportion to our faith; if service, in our serving; the one who teaches, in his teaching; Romans 12:4-7
For God is not unjust so as to overlook your work and the love that you have shown for his name in serving the saints, as you still do. Hebrews 6:10
"For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” Mark 10:45
Our Ushers are Artists. Quilt making, according to Gladys-Marie Fry, was one means for African American women to engage in the cathartic process of storytelling. African American women were not only piecing together quilts that had the practical function of providing warmth, but also fashioning meaning and selves from the fragmented experiences produced by suffering and deprivation.
Our ushers have adopted the technique of quilt making as a mode of creative expression.
We welcome anyone who wants to be a part of the Ushers Fellowship just let any usher you see know you're interested and they will guide you. Don't be shy or afraid you're amongst friends.
